Egypt is the gateway of culture, with Europe and the Mediterranean to the North, Africa to the South and Asia to the East. Egypt has been on a growing list of locations not recommended for Western foreigners for a handful of years. The revolution, terrorist attacks and rumors of terrorist cells amongst the justifications of why. The world is admittedly a very different place than it was five years ago. Unrest and upheaval plague every continent. A bold refusal of fear, I will not be confined, to allow the paid media (social included) dictate or direct my intuition or global citizen mentality.
My faith in humanity is profound. For every one act of hatred and cowardice there are ten acts of kindness and selflessness that go unreported. Good people and goodness are truly everywhere if you only open your eyes (and your mind) to see it.
